     I started Romance Ribbon Company after 15 years experience in the ribbon industry, and have always considered the ribbon business to be a "fun" business. I am a former employee of two companies involved with production of ribbon. During my time I had contact with Frederick B. Doherty, the founder of the one of the companies, and after Fred passed on, I worked closely with his son Henry T. Doherty. The accomplishments of both of these gentlemen are still admired. Positions held were, Export Manager, Production Control Manager, Quality Control Manager, but my favorite position was as Research and Developement Manager. Under Henry's leadership we brought many new products to market, and developed the company as the industry leader.
